Drawing and painting has been an important part of my life from a very young age. This love and enthusiasm for art grew over the years and it eventually took me to Southampton Institute, where I studied fine art and continued to develop my skills as an artist.

Being based in the beautiful county of Hampshire, on the edge of the South Downs National Park, I am surrounded by gentle landscapes and fabulous wildlife. This passion for wildlife and nature's beauty combined with my love of painting is all the inspiration I need for my art.

 My favourite media to work with is oil paint, although I sometimes like to work with other media such as pencil, pastel, charcoal & watercolour. Each media brings its own unique qualities and offers endless opportunities to create beautiful images.

Most of my artworks are made up of thick layers of oil paint, and I use a combination of colour and texture to create the energy & ‘feel’ of my paintings. I will often apply the paint with my hands, as it enables me to feel and physically mould the paint together on the canvas to create the desired image.
